Our Technical Support Engineer, Joseph Corbishley, recently took the OnShape Accreditation exam, advancing his development using computer-aided design (CAD) software. OnShape is a cloud-native product development platform used to manage and control design data within a 3D CAD environment.
Exam Preparation
To prepare for the exam, Joe utilised the OnShape Learning Centre, completing a range of training modules as well as on-the-job learning. The exam tested his proficiency across various aspects of CAD, including sketching, assemblies, complex mate connectors, curvature, sheet metal modelling and all other features of OnShape.
What does this mean for Impulse?
This accreditation demonstrates our high level of knowledge and expertise, enabling us to better support customers with complex project designs by bringing them to life through detailed 3D models.
By utilising OnShape, we can develop build specification instructions, showcase projects and prototypes, and effectively visualise the constraints and limitations of a design.
The Result…
We would like to congratulate Joe on successfully passing his exam with an impressive score of 88%. He is now recognised as a Certified OnShape Associate. This achievement is a positive step forward for both Impulse and Joe as we continue to expand our services around 3D and electromechanical design.
