Before Christmas, we completed our annual EcoVadis assessment of our environmental, social, and governance practices.
Our work to improve our environmental sustainability over the past year has paid off with a significant 8-point improvement, earning us a Bronze Medal in recognition of the policies and practices we’ve put in place. This places us in the top 35% of companies assessed by EcoVadis in our category.

What is EcoVadis?
EcoVadis is a globally recognised provider of business sustainability ratings, evaluating companies on their environmental, social, and ethical practices. Their optional assessments help organisations like ours to improve their sustainability performance. Over 150,000 companies across various industries and countries use EcoVadis to measure and improve their Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) efforts.
How Does the Assessment Work?
We are assessed annually at the end of each year and have now participated twice: once at the end of 2023 and most recently at the end of 2024. The assessment is based on international sustainability standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), and ISO 26000. Companies are scored in four areas:
- Environment: Efforts to reduce environmental impact, including energy use, emissions, and waste management.
- Labor & Human Rights: Policies and practices that ensure fair treatment, diversity, and safe working conditions.
- Ethics: Business integrity, anti-corruption measures, and fair practices.
- Sustainable Procurement: Responsible sourcing and supplier monitoring.
We assess ourselves in these areas and provide evidence of our performance. After our first assessment at the end of 2023, EcoVadis provided us with a Corrective Action Plan to help us improve our sustainability company-wide. We implemented new processes, such as sustainability training and improving our recycling practices throughout the year. Then, when we were reassessed at the end of 2024, we earned the Bronze Medal which places us in the 72nd percentile of companies in our category.

By reducing our environmental impact and having ethical practices across the board, we’re striving to improve our processes year-on-year. For us, our improved EcoVadis rating reflects our measurable performance improvements, clear metrics which demonstrate our commitment to transparency and accountability, and our enhanced policies to address sustainability challenges. This includes our recycling practices, which meant we could recycle thousands of cables, cardboard boxes, and metal chassis over the past year.
Our Goals for a Sustainable 2025
We’re excited for the opportunities 2025 will bring. Our goal for the next year is to maintain our Bronze Medal, further improve our score, and continue building our network of like-minded partner companies. We also aim to take full advantage of the EcoVadis Academy, using its learning and development resources to further our understanding of sustainability and encourage more impactful changes across our operations.
