The
UNO-420 from
Advantech is a compact fanless data sensing gateway built around a low power Intel processor and with a comprehensive I/O interface including three programmable serial ports and eight programmable GPIO, facilitating connectivity of legacy equipment to new faster and more robust mesh networks.
Designed for easy installation in harsh or remote locations that can be difficult to reach with conventional power sources, the UNO-420 has been equipped with Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) support providing customers with an Edge-to-Cloud data sensing solution that requires minimal wiring and is cost-effective to install.
Furthermore, for over the air (OTA) updates and real-time communications over long distances the UNO-420 supports a diverse range of wireless WiFi, 3G, 4G/
LTE and Narrowband-IoT expansion modules.
The UNO-420 data gateway is also equipped with support for
Advantech's
WISE-PaaS/Edgelink protocol conversion software supporting over 200 communication protocols including Modbus, DNP3, MQTT and LwM2M to enable collection from legacy devices in the field. In addition to protocol conversion, WISE-PaaS/Edgelink allows the data to be aggregated and transmitted at defined periods minimising the volume of data transmitted and stored in the cloud.
Overall the UNO-420 from Advantech is a robust, cost-efficient and scalable system for gateway infrastructure applications.
