The Moxa EDS-4008 Series is a family of compact, rugged, managed industrial Ethernet switches engineered for mission-critical networking in harsh environments. Featuring eight gigabit ports, IEC-62443-4-2 certified cybersecurity, and advanced redundancy technologies, the EDS-4008 delivers secure, high-availability connectivity for industrial automation, transportation, energy, and smart infrastructure.
Certified to IEC-62443-4-2, the EDS-4008 provides industry-leading protection against cyber threats, with features including user authentication, device integrity verification, and secure remote management. These capabilities help operators meet compliance requirements while reducing the risk of unauthorised access to critical systems.
Available with all-copper, mixed fibre/copper, or PoE models, the EDS-4008 supports a wide range of deployment scenarios. Options include multi-mode and single-mode fibre, SFP slots for long-distance connectivity, and PoE for powering IP cameras, access control devices, or wireless access points directly from the switch.
Designed for operation in temperatures from -40°C to +75°C, the EDS-4008 features an IP-rated metal housing, wide voltage input range, and shock/vibration resistance. These attributes make it ideal for field deployment in substations, rail control rooms, roadside cabinets, and factory floors.
With Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain redundancy, VLAN segmentation, and QoS prioritisation, the EDS-4008 ensures stable, low-latency performance even under fault conditions. Redundant power inputs and dual recovery mechanisms further enhance system availability for 24/7 operations.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
