The NRU-51V+ Jetson Orin NX video analytics platform supports GMSL2 cameras, capable of functioning as a sensor hub or perception unit for a variety of AI applications such as ADAS, teleoperation, autonomous mobile robotics, and autonomous vehicles.
By integrating GMSL2 automotive cameras, the NRU-51V+ capitalises on advanced features such as IP67 waterproofing, high dynamic range (HDR), auto white balance, and LED flicker mitigation (LFM), enhancing its vision capabilities. These features ensure high-quality image capture with minimal latency, irrespective of lighting conditions, be it broad daylight or low light situations. Furthermore, its synchronization mechanism enables simultaneous acquisition of images from four GMSL2 cameras with microsecond precision, and it can synchronize image data with GPS PPS signals for alignment with LIDAR or other camera systems.
Powered by the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX SOM, the NRU-51V+ achieves exceptional power efficiency, delivering 100 TOPS inference performance with just a 25W power consumption. Users can utilise its 10GBASE-T Ethernet for transferring raw camera images to another GPU server for perception processing and inference, while also leveraging its significant TOPS for real-time object detection or region of interest analysis. For teleoperation scenarios, the hardware H.264/265 video codec enables real-time encoding of video streams from four GMSL2 cameras, facilitating live video transmission to a remote driver via 5G telecommunication with minimal latency.
By utilising the GMSL2 interface and Jetson Orin NX together, the NRU-51V+ transforms into a versatile edge AI platform. With automotive-grade vision capabilities and a rich selection of I/O interfaces including 10GbE, CAN 2.0, and M.2 for 5G broadband, the NRU-51V+ can serve as a sensor hub for ADAS, a perception unit for AGV/AMR systems, or a teleoperation controller for off-highway vehicles, offering exceptional functionality in various moving platforms.
