Last week, we built an industrial-grade device for one of our customers in the automotive industry: a NUVO-10208GC system from Neousys. The chassis of the NUVO-10208GC has the perfect form factor to house its mammoth GeForce RTX 4080 Super 16GB graphics card while remaining small enough to fit within the customer’s pre-existing system.
We installed Windows 10 IoT High-End 64-Bit 2021, the perfect operating system for industrial applications. This OS provides enhanced security, stability, and support for advanced AI functions, ensuring smooth and efficient operation in various industrial settings.
The NUVO-10208GC has an impressive number of different I/O options, making it highly adaptable for various industrial tasks.
As-is, it includes:
- 3 Ethernet ports
- 6 USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports
- 1 internal USB 2.0 port
- 2 COM ports (RS-232/422/485)
- 1 DisplayPort, 1 VGA
The device can also be expanded to include additional I/O options, which, for this order, meant we added four extra USB 3.0 ports and two 10GbE LAN ports, offering flexibility for the customer’s applications.
A key feature of the NUVO-10208GC is its ability to contain the GeForce RTX 4080 Super 16GB graphics card. While it is typically used for gaming, the card is also known for its ability to handle demanding AI and deep learning tasks, from model training to inference. The integration of the RTX 4080 Super ensures the NUVO-10208GC can manage intensive computational workloads.
The NUVO-10208GC features a wide temperature range and high resistance to shock, making it especially reliable in demanding industrial automotive applications. Its ability to operate in extreme temperatures ensures consistent performance in varied environments, while its shock resistance protects it from physical impacts and vibrations commonly encountered in these settings. Additionally, the patent-pending GPU locking brackets provide secure GPU mounting, preventing dislodgement and damage during movement.
