As it's name suggests, the EMB-APL1 utilises the latest generation of Intel’s SoC Celeron processors that are geared specifically towards mobile devices. In addition to enhancements brought on by the new chips, which include improved power consumption, thermals and performance, the board itself carries a number of features to aid its designed purpose for digital signage, ATM, and POS applications.
Firstly, its power requirement is compliant to the industrial standard of 12V to 24V DC. It sports a low profile design that aims to minimise the room required for a chassis.
Graphically, the board is capable of triple display from HDMI, VGA, LVDS, and eDP options, which, when used individually, outputs 4K (HDMI/eDP), and 2K (LVDS/VGA) resolutions. The board also carries a total of seven USB ports (two USB3.0, five USB2.0), along with M.2 and PCIe[x1] slots for all of your expansion needs.
