CE

e-Mark Certified

The e-Mark is a widely recognised standard in the automotive industry covering the safety requirements of automotive vehicles and their components across Europe. These products are e13 certified and have been designed for the transportation and road vehicle industry.

EN 50155

EN 50155 is the European standard for electronic devices used in railway applications. The device must adhere to the strict specifications of EN 50155 including -25C to +70C wide operating temperature range, resistance to humidity, shocks, vibrations and radiation – all environmental demands encountered in the rail industry.

Extended Wide Temperature

These products utilise high quality industrial grade components enabling them to work in extended wide temperature environments. They are capable of running below -20C and above +70C and offer further protection than standard wide temperature rated products.

Fanless

These products use heatsink, heatpipe and extrusion technology to dissipate the heat generated by the system rather than using traditional fans thus improving system reliability and longevity.

FCC Approved

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is an independent agency of the United States government that sets standards and governs the testing of conducted and radiated emissions such as EMI.

PoE

This device supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) which describes any of several standardised or ad-hoc systems which pass electrical power along with data on Ethernet cabling.

RoHS

This product fully adheres to the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive 2002/95/EC, RoHS for short.  The directive covers the restriction of use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment and was adopted in February 2003 by the European Union.

Wide Voltage

These devices and systems have been designed to accept a wide voltage DC power input. This feature is desirable in the industrial market where a fixed voltage level or mains AC power cannot be guaranteed.

The POC-551VTC ultra-compact in-vehicle control PC offers a step up in performance unique to this form factor. Featuring the AMD Ryzen V1605 4-core 8-thread embedded 1.6GHz processor offering up to 3x the performance over previous POC models. The POC-551VTC series Ryzen V1605B (15W) variant is designed for rugged fanless operation and supports an embedded Vega GPU which delivers up to 3.6 TFLOPS in FP16. Combining the CPU and GPU with an array of I/O options makes the POC-551VTC an excellent choice as an embedded controller for demanding in-vehicle and Edge computing applications.

The POC-551VTC continues using it's DIN-rail mounting mechanical design with easy front-accessible I/O all in an ultra-compact enclosure. It has rich I/O including four Gigabit PoE+ ports, four USB3.0 ports, 4x COM ports and super-fast NVMe M.2 storage offering 2.5x faster speeds than conventional SSD's. It also supports an isolated CANbus port for in-vehicle communication. All this is packed up in a ultra-compact footprint measuring just 64mm x 116mm x 176mm.

Essential to any industrial-grade embedded computer is its power input reliability. The POC-551VTC comes with a wide 8V to 35V DC power input range with ignition power control, making it ideal for applications powered by generators, solar panels and other non-standard power sources.

As with all our embedded computing range, Impulse can fully configure the POC-551VTC to your exact requirements in our UK engineering facility including your choice of memory, storage and Microsoft Windows Embedded operating system. Furthermore, Impulse also offers a wide range of Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) switches and PoE enabled cameras.
