The WISE-2210 from Advantech is a proprietary LPWAN sensor mode that is self-powered using current from analog inputs. Self-powered LPWAN technology is ideal for sustainable factories and building applications. Powered by a maximum of three CT (Current Transformer), no cables or batteries are required for switching or for collecting power current information from pumps, servers, or machine tools. Self-powered LPWAN networks save resources by using fewer cables and eliminate the need for batteries.
LPWAN is a variety of low-power, wide-area network technologies created for machine-to-machine (M2M) and Internet of things (IoT) networks. LPWAN is a low-cost high power efficiency network technology and has a high penetration rate providing a better connection in comparison to traditional wireless technology.
By using the power over analog input channel design, no wire power installation is needed. WISE-2210 is plug and play for quick deployment into your IoT applications. The current transformer supports an AC power current range from 3A to 60A or 15A to 300A for different current measurement applications.
