The WISE-2211 from Advantech is a proprietary LPWAN sensor mode that is self-powered using current from analog inputs. Self-powered LPWAN technology is ideal for sustainable factories and building applications. Powered by a maximum of three CT (Current Transformer), no cables or batteries are required for switching or for collecting power current information from pumps, servers, or machine tools. Self-powered LPWAN networks save resources by using fewer cables and eliminate the need for batteries.
LPWAN is a variety of low-power, wide-area network technologies created for machine-to-machine (M2M) and Internet of things (IoT) networks. LPWAN is a low-cost high power efficiency network technology and has a high penetration rate providing a better connection in comparison to traditional wireless technology.
By using the power over analog input channel design, no wire power installation is needed. WISE-2211 is plug and play for quick deployment into your IoT applications. The current transformer supports a DC power current range from 3A to 60A or 15A to 300A for different current measurement applications.
