The Scheme
RISQS embraces
rail's qualification arrangements previously known as Link-up. RISQS is industry-owned, sponsored by a board of representatives from across the
rail industry. This reports into the RSSB Board, and RSSB provides a range of services to support operational delivery of the scheme.
For buyers, procurement management needs to involve tackling the risk imported from suppliers into the chain. Buyers seek assurance from their suppliers that the risk is managed and that they can deliver to meet their needs.
Qualification
There are two elements of securing this assurance in the RISQS scheme, which are Registration and Qualification.
Registration is a process provided to suppliers to enable them to register their interest in becoming a supplier.
Qualification is a process to determine whether or not a supplier, or potential supplier, meets a predetermined set of criteria.
The RISQS scheme is designed specifically to support
rail companies in both these aspects of supplier assurance.
Impulse has gained RISQS qualification status as an approved supplier.
